Exodus 33

Father God, we thank you for all that You are and have been to each of us in this year of 2024. As we end this year, we praise Your Holy name and thank you for the protection, love, provision, healing, Your faithfulness, grace and peace that You have freely blessed us with as Your sons and daughters In the name of Jesus. We ask that You continue to speak to us LORD, give us more revelation and insight as we wrap up the book of Exodus In the name of Jesus, Amen.

This chapter starts off with the LORD commanding the people to depart from where they were and continue to the land flowing with milk and honey that the LORD had swore to Abraham Isaac and Jacob saying, "To your descendants I will give it." (Exodus 33:1). This portrays the promise keeping nature of God that when He promises to do something, He will fulfill it and nothing can stop Him. It is interesting to note that their promised land had occupants and in Exodus 33:2, we see the LORD saying that He would drive them out. This is interesting because one would think that because God gave them the land therefore they should not be any kind of opposition which was not the case. The children of Israel had to contend for their promised land and the blessings that would flow as a result of their presence in that land but ultimately, the battle was the LORD's.

In chapter 32, we saw how God's people built a gold calf which they worshipped as a God while Moses was away on the mountain in God's presence receiving the ten commandments. As result of that act of idolatry, in Exodus 33:3 the LORD out of disappointment said to His people, "Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked people."

Thankfully, Moses was able to secure God's presence in the place of prayer. It is important to note that Moses was known as one whom the "...LORD spoke with face to face, as a man speaks to his friend." In Exodus 33:15, Moses said to the LORD, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth." The LORD granted Moses request.

Today, the LORD tells us in Galatians 3:28 that when it comes to the classification of God's people, "There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus." So we who have believed and confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour are now God's people.

Prayer: Abba Father, we thank you that we all have been included as Your people because of Your precious One and Only Son Jesus Christ whom you sent on the cross to die for our sins and was raised from the dead so that we can live abundant and full lives here on earth as we are reconciled to You as we walk in fellowship, communion and relationship with You In the name of Jesus. We thank you LORD for all the spiritual blessings we have because we are united with Christ Jesus. We ask that You give us the wisdom and the courage to be able to possess what righfully belongs to us In the name of Jesus. We let go of all old patterns and mindsets from the past that would not serve us in the promised land In the name of Jesus. We cancel out any hinderance and delays to our establishment in the promised land and we render them powerless in the name of Jesus. We ask that Your presence go before us and surrounds us as well on each of our journey to the promised land for then how will it be known that we as Your people have found grace in Your sight? We thank you Abba that everything is lining up in our favor and we are moving from glory to glory In the name of Jesus. We thank you Abba for an abundance of open doors, breakthroughs and answered prayers as we end 2024 and welcome 2025. We thank you LORD that You have cleared the path way maker and driven out every enemy of success and progress in our promised lands In the name of Jesus. AMEN.

I'll end with this Word in Exodus 33:17

"So the LORD said to Moses, "I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name."

Amen. Thank you LORD for answered prayer and that You know each one of us by name. Glory to God.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know the LORD God who from the beginning of creation has always desired to commune with you, dwell on the inside of you to provide wisdom, knowledge and be included in the blessings of Christ Jesus as His son and daughter with Him as your loving Father - I invite you to make this confession, "I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour today and forever." AMEN.

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17).
